This was the first marketing email I wrote full copy for. As you can see, I had fun with it — some may say too much fun, but I decided not to ask those people. This email was to notify our membership of our new site being launched, of which I also wrote the majority of copy for, and as of Feb. 2023, am currently editing and writing new copy for as we make it more UX and UI-friendly.
The Perseverance Rover had just landed on Mars, so I tied our copy in with this major cultural event, using it as a theme. Fun fact: Pluto was discovered in 1930 at Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff, AZ. SunWest was founded 7 years later in Arizona. It’s a proud point for any Arizonan, even if the once-ninth planet was eventually demoted, so I had to add it here.
